Thinking about my type of humor, mine borders on under-my-breath mumblings and sarcasm, with heavy emphasis on the latter. Love listening to someone regale on and on about...anything actually, especially if the subject is something that bugs me an...

Hi there, My appologies - somehow I must have missed this. As a person who has been part of/organized amateur comedy nights, I can relate, somewhat. I've been co-writer of comedy skits, some of which went over really well while others laid the p...

Yes, my humor output. I did post, in my blog. Is that not the right place for it? Thanks for the reply Eleanor!

I joined to learn, and to corroborate. And for validation (hint-hint).

About Me:
I'm a rank amateur. I'm just giving in to that desire that nags at you endlessly, and trying to learn to write. I've done stand-up comedy off and on for 15 years (amateur stuff, open mics ... surprised?). I don't know that I want a career in writing (like all men that don't know if we actually want a super bowl ring), but I've always enjoyed it -just have never let anyone else read it. Looking around the site, I can tell that most of the members here are FAR more experienced than I, so please, critique, and smash my dreams. How else can I learn? Be as harsh as you feel necessary, I have thick skin ... and a thick waistline.
Favorite Books / Authors
I read constantly, mostly books written by comedians, and about comedians. No favorite Authors, but I'd have to say of all the comedian's books I've read, Bill Cosby's are funniest to me.
Favorite practical joke
My favorite that I've done, was when working as a computer programmer, I went into my office neighbor's office, and turned everything -and I do mean everything -in her office, upside down. I even opened up her monitor and flipped the yoke so the picture was upside down.

No, really. I'm funny! - Adult language & content

Those that know me -which are the only people that read my blog -know that I've done stand-up. I've always had the support of my friends, both near and far (side bar to do my Grover impression: Neeeaaaaaaar! *run* *run* *pant* *pant* *pant* Faaaaaar! Damn, I sounded just like him). They've showed up to my shows, most of which have sucked. Eons of trying, and having far more shitty shows than side splitters. I can say I've "killed" an audience before, but the ratio is crap. Ca-ca. Shit. Poo.

Scratchin' and Survivin'

I recently filled out a myspace bulletin, a lengthy survey asking a ton of questions. One question asked is, "have you ever had the same dream twice?" I had to reply "not that I remember," because you know how it is, you don't remember ALL of your dreams. But basically, no, I've never had the same dream twice. Yet oddly enough, last night at the bat cave...

I was attacked and assaulted by a little midget that I saw on an episode of Good Times ye-e-e-a-a-rs ago. I have no idea what weird… Continue

Pearl Jam Censored
The
rock band Pearl Jam is upset after lyrics critical of President Bush
were censored out of a live webcast of Lollapalooza last weekend by
AT&T. Democratic comments on ABC New's website immediately started
calling for a boycott of AT&T. This lead Republican commentators
to call for a ban of ABC New's website for allowing those comments.
