Earlville - also known as the center of the universe!
About Me:
I'm a historical writer - so I'm obviously lost, nothing unusual there.
My stories are pretty serious, but folks have asked why I don't write humor ... it's hard to be funny. I'm no Janet Evanovich! But I do love to read her Stephanie Plum series. I do have a sci-fi romance that's pretty corny - er, funny. Not pubbed yet - someday!!
I just asnwered that in the box above ... big sigh here! I'm thinking. Yea, gotta stick with my first answer ... Janet Evanovich. She's make you laugh out loud funny.
Favorite practical joke
There is rarely anything practical about a joke.
'nough said.

I think the book will be scary with historical facts thrown in. I want it to be the book you buy in the gift shop of the town you are vacationing in. The stories will tell of local lore, lengend and hopefully keep the vacationing reader up till all hours of the night. Boo!
If you know of any good Virginia stories... well, let me know!
Thanks for the nice comments! Amy
I'm in two places, Deb---but not necessarily at the same time.
I winter in the sleepy little town of Sebring, Florida. I'm 70 miles directly east of Bradenton. But, alas, we have been discovered and we are growing at a much too rapid pace.
Summers are in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where I hang out at my cabin on the river, toss a line in the river for a trout dinner, and scratch myself.
Hi Deb,
Thanks for the invite. This is going to be a fun place.
Someone once said: The beautiful part of writing is that you don't have to get it right the first time, unlike, say, a brain surgeon. You can always do it better, find the exact word, the apt phrase, the leaping simile.
Is Janet Evanovich funny? I must glance her way. Thanks for the invite, btw. Writing humor is very serious & difficult work.
Tim Dorsey wrote--With three weeks to go in the Florida governor's race, the Tallahassee morning newspaper ran the following headline: 2 Heads Explode in Separate Incidents---Now, that's funny
I too, am leaning to historical fiction, I like reading it, so...
Where is Earlville? I remember the Duke, Duke, Duke of Earl...
