About Me:
Bio-
I am a half-crazed stay at home mom of two hormonal teenage daughters, two outlandish Airedale Terriers, a devious Cavashon puppy and a husband who won’t act his age. We have resided in the Minneapolis Minnesota area for the past nine years.

For the first twenty years of my marriage, I wore the hat of soccer Mom, and corporate wife, acting like a “June Cleaver” clone. After doing the millionth load of laundry in my life, I decided that while I love my family…they were not worth it! Becoming a writer had always been a dream of mine, and I finally summoned the courage to pursue it. My husband’s endearing sense of humor and childish behavior has led to him becoming the butt of my much of my humor. I keep telling him I will make him famous someday. After all, Homer Simpson did not become a star overnight.

My families’ antics (canines included) continue to provide me with ample material to write about. While I enjoy writing inspirational and animal related pieces, my first love has always been humor.
Erma Bombeck is an author I have admired and whose work has been an inspiration to me. I took both of Jens humor classes and she has been a tremendous teacher, motivator and a mentor. Cheryl and I share a love for Airedale Terriers and she fully appreciates my canine humor essays. She is the friend that keeps me going when those rejection letters litter my mailbox.

I am currently in negotiations with Martha Stewart about publishing my new book- "101 Rejection Letter Decoupage Projects."

Good to hear from you, Laurie! I love your bio on here. The column is going well. I think one's running this week.
It's hard to write the column sometimes only because it doesn't pay, and I have to put paying assignments first. But it is exciting to see the column in print, even though it's a freebie.
I just know you can get a column. It took me about a year and a half of trying. Just watch, it will happen when you're no longer thinking about it.
I'll watch for your work--always love to read it.
